De la Morte dell’ Amore, directed by Michele Soavi (1994)
Hands down the greatest depiction of Death I’ve ever seen in a movie (If you know a better one, by all means please direct me to it). The skeletal reaper is one of the oldest and most lasting icons for death, and I wish more moviemakers—especially the ones with the budget to do so—would make the effort to incorporate it where appropriate. Somehow a bald man with white makeup just doesn’t have the same impact. An utterly brilliant scene.
